FREEHOLD, NJ—Joseph S. Velazquez, 25, of Passaic, has been charged with multiple offenses related to the possession and distribution of child abuse materials (CSAM), announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago on Friday.

The investigation began in February when a detective from the Prosecutor’s Office, working undercover, infiltrated a chat group on the social media network Kik. During surveillance of the group, the detective encountered a user identified as “blazeitupp1,” later confirmed to be Velazquez, who shared CSAM files and discussed engaging in sexual activities with a fictitious child.

Last week, law enforcement agencies including the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, and Passaic County Sheriff’s Office executed a search at Velazquez's residence. The search confirmed the presence of CSAM, leading to his arrest. Velazquez is now held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution and awaits a detention hearing set for Monday in Monmouth County Superior Court.

SOUTH GREENSBURG, PA – The South Greensburg Police Department is seeking public help in identifying a suspect involved in a road rage incident on June 20. The male suspect was reportedly driving an older maroon or burgundy Chevrolet Equinox.

The confrontation occurred near the intersection of Route 119 and Huff Avenue. During the incident, the suspect alighted from his vehicle, hurled racial epithets at another driver, and threatened him. The altercation escalated when the suspect punched and pulled on the victim's car window, eventually shattering it.

MANASSAS, VA—A burglary at the Hess Manassas service plaza was reported to local police, who responded to the scene at 8250 Sudley Rd. on June 19 around 11:10 PM. During the investigation, it was revealed that a woman had been seen inside the business earlier that evening, which prompted the call to the police.

There were no signs of forced entry at the scene, but tobacco products were reported missing following the incident. The suspect is described as a short female with a medium build and shoulder-length hair. The investigation is ongoing as officers work to identify and locate the suspect involved in this burglary.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—Local authorities have reported the arrest of a suspect connected to a strong-arm robbery that took place on June 16 in the 1430 block of Jeffries Rd. The suspect, identified as 44-year-old Makubani Sun Reel of no fixed address, was apprehended on June 20.

Reel, previously sought by police following the incident, is charged with robbery and is currently held without bond, pending a court date. The initial robbery involved a 37-year-old man who was forcibly restrained by a group of men and robbed of his cash app card. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries.

This arrest follows efforts by police to locate Reel after he was identified on June 19 as one of the suspects involved. The investigation continues as authorities seek to identify and apprehend the other individuals involved in the robbery.
